Restored by Pradeau Morin, working as a general contractor, 10/12 place de la Bourse, includes three stone office buildings, whose interior structure is made of wood, built at the end of the 18th century . After 25 months of work, our teams delivered these prestigious buildings in mid-June 2023. The objective of this project was to modernize these office buildings, formerly occupied by the Obs newspaper, to add flexibility and modularity to the new workspaces.
Built in the 18th century , this set of 3 office buildings (R-2 to R+7) with a floor area of 6200 m2 has recently undergone major rehabilitation with the aim of rationalizing the spaces but also to add an image of modernity to the whole, while restoring and enhancing its historical and heritage character.
The restoration work on the facade made it possible to recompose the openings, porches and storefronts on the ground floor, as well as the railings and ironwork. Inside, a large staircase and a condemned glass roof have been brought up to date and integrated into the architectural system, the roofs have also been renovated and made accessible by “roof top” terraces.
Our Pradeau Morin teams faced various challenges during these structural works, in particular the presence of lead in large quantities on the site, the need to raise one of the buildings, but also the presence of historic wooden structures (walls and floors) which had to be preserved and reinforced.
The site will have required the intervention of 100 companions during peak periods.
Thanks to these major rehabilitation works, the operation is now aiming for the environmental labels and certifications HQE 2015 Excellent, BREEAM Very Good, Effinergie BBC Rénovation.
We would like to congratulate our teams for this exceptional project!
