Skanska divests office building in Karlskrona, Sweden, for about SEK 250M

Skanska divests an office building under construction in Karlskrona, Sweden, to Vacse for about SEK 250M. The building will mainly house the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s new headquarters. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development in the second quarter of 2023.

The new 5,000 square meter office building will be built in central Karlskrona. It meets high sustainability requirements and will be certified according to the international environmental certification BREEAM. The building also meets the Housing Authority’s requirements for energy class A, and the goal is for the project to be classified as climate neutral upon completion.

The building will be a modern and flexible workplace for the employees of the tenant. Furthermore it will be WELL-certified, which means that the building promotes good health and well-being for staff and visitors.

Construction work is under way and transfer of ownership to Vacse will take place in connection with completion in the second quarter of 2025.
