Leonard Kaae Appointed President of Black Construction Corporation

Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil, building, and specialty construction company, has announced the promotion of Leonard Kaae to President of its Guam-based subsidiary, Black Construction Corporation.

With more than 40 years of service at Black Construction, Mr. Kaae has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success. Prior to his promotion, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, overseeing the operations of approximately 2,000 employees. Under his leadership, Black Construction has become Guam’s largest general contractor and the island’s second-largest employer, following the U.S. federal government.

The company has consistently ranked as one of Tutor Perini’s most profitable business units, maintaining a record project backlog and a robust pipeline of upcoming bids. Future growth is anticipated to accelerate with increased U.S. government investments in the Pacific Deterrence Initiative and other strategic infrastructure efforts throughout Guam and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

“Leonard exemplifies the type of high-caliber leader that Tutor Perini is fortunate to have leading our Indo-Pacific operations,” said Gary Smalley, CEO and President of Tutor Perini. “He is a consummate professional and vital to the continued expansion of our business in the region and globally. We congratulate Leonard on his well-earned promotion.”
