Meritage Homes Donates Two Mortgage-Free Homes to Veterans in Continued Partnership with Operation Homefront
Meritage Homes has renewed its long-standing partnership with Operation Homefront’s Permanent Homes for Veterans Program, committing to donate two brand-new, mortgage-free homes to veteran families in 2025. This year’s donations will be made in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Raleigh, North Carolina, bringing the company’s total contributions to 22 homes over the past 12 years.

The homes are located in the Lorson Ranch community in Colorado Springs and the River Glen community in Angier, just outside Raleigh. Each home features an open-concept design with professionally curated interiors, energy-efficient elements such as ENERGY STAR® appliances, spray-foam insulation, and multispeed HVAC systems. Additionally, both homes include a smart home suite that enables residents to manage thermostats, security, and other features through a convenient mobile app.
The selected veteran families will be announced in September, with key ceremonies taking place in November to coincide with Veterans Day.
