AECOM, a leading infrastructure consulting firm, has been awarded a professional services contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The contract includes a one-year base period with two one-year option periods to provide advisory and program management services to FEMA’s four Consolidated Resource Centers (CRCs) located in Winchester, VA (East); Denton, TX (Central); Sacramento, CA (West); and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico (Atlantic). Under the contract, AECOM will support FEMA’s Public Assistance grant program, focusing on repairing and/or replacing damaged public infrastructure after catastrophic disasters.

Established to improve the efficiency, precision, and transparency of FEMA’s Public Assistance Program, CRCs play a crucial role in validating, consolidating, collating, and reviewing infrastructure projects. AECOM will provide support for various aspects of the program, including Environmental Planning and Historical Preservation (EHP) and insurance, aiming to expedite the recovery process for impacted communities. Additionally, AECOM will assist FEMA in meeting equity commitments by providing disaster support to underserved communities.
