Consertus Acquires S2 Engineering to Expand California Infrastructure Services
Consertus, Inc., a portfolio company of RTC Partners, has acquired S2 Engineering (S2), a Rancho Cucamonga, California-based firm providing construction management, inspection, engineering and materials testing services for public infrastructure projects across the state.
The acquisition expands Consertus’ presence in California, one of the largest infrastructure markets in the United States, while strengthening the company’s capabilities in transportation and public works. By bringing S2 Engineering into its organization, Consertus aims to provide public-sector clients with broader technical resources and project delivery support across the infrastructure development lifecycle.
S2 Engineering has served transportation agencies and public-sector organizations for more than 25 years. The company has developed expertise in construction oversight, field inspection, engineering support, quality assurance and materials testing, supporting complex infrastructure programs throughout California.

Among them are the I-215 Realignment and Widening Project for the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), formerly known as SANBAG, and the I-5 Corridor Improvement Project for LA Metro under Caltrans oversight.
