Peab Secures Eight-Year Framework Contract for Water and Sewage Works in Örnsköldsvik
Peab has been awarded an eight-year framework contract by Miljö och Vatten i Örnsköldsvik AB (Miva) to carry out construction work related to water and sewage infrastructure in Örnsköldsvik Municipality, Sweden. The agreement represents an important step toward supporting the long-term renewal, maintenance, and development of the municipality’s public water and sewage systems.
Under the framework agreement, Peab will undertake groundwork projects covering new construction, renewal, repair, and maintenance of public water and sewage facilities throughout the municipality. The contract has a total value of SEK 100 million, which is scheduled to be order registered during the third quarter of 2026.
Rather than being delivered as one single construction project, the framework contract establishes a long-term structure under which individual assignments will be called off progressively throughout the eight-year contract period. Each call-off will define the specific scope, requirements, conditions, and execution details for the project concerned.
The arrangement is intended to provide Miva with greater flexibility in responding to infrastructure needs as they emerge while allowing Peab to apply its construction expertise and resources across a range of water and sewage projects.
