Perma-Pipe Secures Global Credit Facility of Up to $139 Million

Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc, a global provider of engineered piping and leak detection solutions, has announced the closing of a new global credit facility with J.P. Morgan that provides the company with access to up to $139 million in total financing capacity.

The new financing arrangement includes a $75 million revolving credit facility and a $14 million term loan facility, along with the ability to access an additional $50 million in incremental capacity. The facility is designed to strengthen Perma-Pipe’s financial position while providing greater flexibility to support its expanding operations across international markets.

The new credit facility replaces and consolidates several existing financing arrangements previously maintained by Perma-Pipe and its subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions. By bringing these facilities together under one global financing structure, the company expects to simplify its banking relationships, improve liquidity management and create greater visibility across its international treasury operations.

The enhanced financing capacity is also expected to support Perma-Pipe’s ongoing working capital requirements, letters of credit, strategic investments and expansion initiatives in key markets.

Strengthening Financial Flexibility

Perma-Pipe has continued to expand its presence across North America, the Middle East and other strategic regions as demand grows for engineered piping, corrosion protection and infrastructure-related solutions. The new credit facility provides the company with additional financial resources to support this growth while maintaining the flexibility needed to respond to changing market opportunities.

Saleh Sagr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Perma-Pipe, described the closing of the facility as an important milestone for the company.

According to Sagr, consolidating multiple credit facilities across different jurisdictions into a single global financing arrangement will help Perma-Pipe improve its financial flexibility and simplify its banking structure. The centralized approach is also expected to strengthen the company’s ability to manage its growing international operations.

Sagr emphasized that a strong and scalable financial foundation is becoming increasingly important as Perma-Pipe continues to expand its activities in North America, the Middle East and other strategic markets.

The new financing arrangement will provide liquidity to support customer requirements, working capital needs and potential growth opportunities. The company also welcomed J.P. Morgan as its strategic banking partner, highlighting the importance of the relationship as Perma-Pipe advances its global growth strategy.

Supporting Global Expansion

The credit facility comes as Perma-Pipe continues to develop its project pipeline and expand its international operations. The company serves a broad range of markets, including energy, infrastructure, district energy, industrial applications, Oil & Gas, water transmission and other critical infrastructure sectors.

Its solutions include pre-insulated piping systems, leak detection technologies, anti-corrosion coatings and other engineered products and services. These offerings are used in projects where reliable piping infrastructure, corrosion protection and system monitoring are critical to long-term performance.

With operations and manufacturing capabilities across several regions, Perma-Pipe is positioned to serve both global customers and local markets. The company’s international footprint includes North America, the Middle East, North Africa, India and other strategic markets.

The centralized credit facility is expected to provide additional flexibility as the company manages its growing project activity across these regions.

Improved Treasury and Liquidity Management

Matthew Lewicki, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Perma-Pipe, said the new facility represents a significant improvement to the company’s global treasury and financing structure.

By consolidating financing arrangements across several jurisdictions, Perma-Pipe can simplify its banking infrastructure and improve liquidity management. The new structure is also expected to provide increased visibility into financial resources throughout the organization.

Lewicki noted that the facility offers substantial capacity to support the company’s working capital requirements and future expansion. He pointed to Perma-Pipe’s backlog, project activity and international operations as important factors supporting the need for a flexible and scalable financing platform.

The additional capacity could give Perma-Pipe greater financial flexibility as it evaluates future business opportunities and manages the capital requirements associated with its projects and expansion plans.

Financial Foundation for the Next Growth Phase

The closing of the global credit facility represents another step in Perma-Pipe’s efforts to strengthen its financial infrastructure while supporting its broader business strategy. A centralized financing arrangement can help reduce the complexity associated with maintaining multiple facilities across different countries and provide management with greater control over global liquidity.

The facility also gives Perma-Pipe access to additional capital that can be deployed toward operational needs, customer-related requirements, strategic investments and potential growth initiatives.

As infrastructure investment continues to create opportunities across energy, industrial and critical infrastructure markets, Perma-Pipe’s strengthened financing position could help the company respond to new projects and customer demand.

The company’s management views the agreement with J.P. Morgan as a foundation for continued growth and a long-term banking relationship. With greater liquidity, simplified financing arrangements and additional borrowing capacity, Perma-Pipe is positioned to support its expanding operations while pursuing opportunities in its key markets.
