Corvias Surpasses Halfway Milestone in $210 Million Project Homestead Military Housing Modernization Program
Corvias has announced a major milestone in Project Homestead, its comprehensive $210 million military housing modernization initiative, confirming that the program has passed the halfway point with renovations progressing ahead of schedule. Conducted in partnership with the U.S. Army, the initiative is focused on improving the quality, safety, and long-term sustainability of housing for military families living at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Meade, Maryland; and Fort Rucker, Alabama.
The company reported that 1,215 of the planned 2,388 home renovations have already been completed, representing 51 percent overall completion. The achievement marks an important step toward delivering modern, resilient, and comfortable homes for thousands of active-duty service members and their families while reinforcing military readiness and community well-being. The full modernization program remains on track for completion by December 2029.

Major Progress Across Three Military Installations
Project Homestead encompasses a wide range of renovation activities across the three Army installations, with each location receiving customized improvements based on local housing needs.
At Fort Bragg, Corvias is investing approximately $91 million in modernization efforts. The project includes 329 major home renovations spread across three neighborhoods, with work currently reaching approximately 15 percent completion. In addition to extensive interior and structural upgrades, Corvias has successfully completed the installation of 872 new roofs, significantly improving the durability and weather resistance of homes throughout the community.
The company is also carrying out medium-level renovations at Fort Bragg, with 83 percent of that portion of the project completed. To date, 233 homes have been delivered following these improvements, providing military families with upgraded living spaces featuring modern amenities and enhanced functionality.
At Fort Meade, Maryland, Corvias is investing approximately $95 million to modernize housing across six residential neighborhoods. The project covers 870 homes, making it one of the largest components of Project Homestead.
Renovation work at Fort Meade includes both medium and major modernization projects. So far, Corvias has completed 227 of 661 planned medium renovations, while 46 of 209 major renovations have also been finished. These upgrades are designed to improve home performance, increase comfort, and extend the long-term lifespan of the housing inventory while meeting the evolving needs of military families stationed at the installation.
Meanwhile, progress continues ahead of schedule at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where Corvias has committed approximately $24 million to housing improvements. The company recently celebrated the completion of its first 100 renovated homes in the Allen Heights neighborhood, marking an important milestone for the installation.
Overall, Corvias has completed 115 of 285 planned medium-level renovations at Fort Rucker. Once finished, nearly 20 percent of the installation’s housing inventory will benefit from modernization efforts, improving living conditions for a significant portion of military personnel and their families.
Continued Investment Beyond Project Homestead
While Project Homestead represents one of Corvias’ most significant military housing initiatives, the company continues investing in additional improvement projects across its military housing portfolio.
One notable example is a $5.7 million historic home exterior restoration project at Fort Riley. The initiative focuses on preserving and restoring historically significant military residences while improving their structural integrity and appearance.
Currently, 20 of the planned 43 homes have been restored, placing the project at approximately 50 percent completion. The work demonstrates Corvias’ commitment to balancing historic preservation with modern housing standards, ensuring these properties remain functional while maintaining their architectural heritage.
