The Evolution of Hugg & Hall
Hugg & Hall’s journey began in 1956 as Lift Truck Sales and Service. During the 1960s, the company was renamed Clarklift of Arkansas. In 1970, Charlie Hugg purchased the company, marking the beginning of a family legacy.
Over time, John Hugg, Charlie’s son, and Robert Hall, his son-in-law, joined the company, transitioning it into a family-operated business. By the late 1980s, the company had established a solid foundation in Arkansas, built on strong relationships with employees, manufacturers, and customers.
In 1990, the business was rebranded as Hugg & Hall, under the leadership of John Hugg and Robert Hall. They focused on unifying operations, upgrading facilities, and expanding the company’s reach throughout Arkansas.
Starting in 2011, the company leveraged its Arkansas legacy branches to expand regionally, reaching beyond state lines into Louisiana, Oklahoma, Southern Missouri, and East Texas.
