AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a leading global infrastructure consulting firm, has been appointed by Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) to provide asset management, design, site supervision, and program and project management services under the IF182 Professional Services Framework. This appointment will support NI Water’s capital projects from inception to delivery, helping to achieve sustainable water and wastewater solutions.
AECOM has secured two positions on the Framework. As a Lot 1 supplier, the company will deliver civil and mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) site supervision services. As a Lot 3 supplier, it will provide feasibility studies, design, project management, and climate change management services. This builds on AECOM’s longstanding partnership with NI Water, which spans several decades.

NI Water, which supplies 605 million liters of drinking water and treats 362 million liters of wastewater daily, has a long-term strategy focused on delivering high-quality water, safeguarding the environment, and supporting sustainable growth. The IF182 Professional Services Framework spans the remaining three years of the PC21 price control period and extends into PC27.
AECOM’s appointment is initially for four years, with the option to extend for an additional four years. This follows a significant pipeline of work for NI Water, including major projects such as the Kinnegar Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) and Sydenham Wastewater Pumping Station (WwPS), part of Northern Ireland Water’s £1.2bn Living with Water Program. AECOM is providing design services in a collaborative “One Team” approach with construction partners to deliver these key infrastructure projects.
