Skanska signs 20,300 square meter lease agreement in the Centrum Poludnie office complex in Wroclaw, Poland

Skanska has signed a 10-year lease agreement with the American bank BNY Mellon for approximately 20,300 square meters and in addition 191 parking lots in the second phase of Centrum Poludnie office complex in Wroclaw, Poland. With this contract, all office space is leased, with the remaining space dedicated to amenity and retail uses, such as a kindergarten. In total, 93 percent of the building is now leased.

BNY Mellon serves capital markets globally by providing comprehensive solutions for clients to manage and service their financial assets throughout the investment life cycle. Wroclaw will become a powerful hub as the company consolidates all local employees into one modern and sustainable space, where they support many of the bank’s entities within accounting, funds, investment operations and technology. The bank will move into the building in April 2024.

The second phase of Centrum Południe was completed in January 2023, and was developed in accordance with ESG principles. It is powered by electricity that comes exclusively from renewable sources and the buildings contain technologies that allow reusing gray and rainwater and decrease energy consumption. The building is applying for numerous certifications; LEED Platinum, WELL Gold for Core & Shell scope and WELL Health-Safety Rating.

Centrum Poludnie is Skanska’s 7th development in Wroclaw. It will have a total usable space of about 85,000 square meters. The first phase is divested.
