Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ: JACK), a leading quick-service restaurant brand, has announced a five-unit development agreement in Detroit, Michigan. This marks the brand’s latest step in expanding its footprint in the state, complementing its previously announced plans for five new locations in West Michigan with another franchisee.
“We are delighted to welcome Maan Almansour and Andi Kareem to our growing franchise family in Michigan,” said Van Ingram, Vice President of Franchise Development. “Their passion for the restaurant industry and deep understanding of the Detroit market make them ideal partners to bring our brand to this vibrant city.”
This development agreement in Detroit builds on Jack in the Box’s momentum in Michigan. Plans are already in place to open five additional locations in West Michigan over the next five years, with the first set to launch in Battle Creek. The brand’s Midwest expansion also includes two recently opened CloudKitchens in downtown Chicago and further growth in the Chicagoland area, with eight company-operated units and 12 franchise commitments underway.
“With approximately 2,200 locations nationwide and successful new market openings in Salt Lake City and Louisville, we’ve seen significant pent-up demand for Jack in the Box across the country,” added Ingram. “As an iconic franchise brand with flexible prototypes and plenty of growth opportunities, we’re excited to expand further into the Midwest.”
Known for its diverse menu, Jack in the Box offers fan favorites like burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, all-day breakfast, and late-night snacks. The new Detroit locations will provide dine-in, drive-thru, and mobile ordering options.
