Daniels Launches New Rental Townhomes in Brampton’s Mount Pleasant Village

Daniels Launches 84 Purpose-Built Rental Townhomes in Brampton, Ontario

The Daniels Corporation has announced the launch of MPV Parkfield Towns, the third phase of its master-planned community in Brampton’s Mount Pleasant Village neighbourhood in Ontario, Canada. The development introduces 84 purpose-built rental townhomes designed to meet the housing needs of families seeking spacious homes, modern amenities and convenient access to public transportation.

The townhomes feature all-electric systems and are situated in a transit-oriented neighbourhood with access to parks, schools, shopping destinations and community services. The project forms part of Daniels’ ongoing efforts to provide rental housing options that respond to changing household needs in one of the Greater Toronto Area’s growing communities.

Addressing Brampton’s Growing Housing Demand

The launch comes as Brampton continues to experience population growth and increasing demand for family-sized housing. According to the City of Brampton’s 2025 Housing Needs Assessment, 26% of households in the city have five or more residents, representing the highest proportion in the Greater Toronto Area.

The population within a one-kilometre radius of MPV Parkfield Towns is also projected to increase by 41% by 2035. This anticipated growth exceeds the projected population increase across the broader three- and five-kilometre surrounding areas, highlighting the need for additional housing options in the immediate neighbourhood.

These demographic trends underscore the importance of providing homes that can accommodate larger households and multigenerational families. Purpose-built rental townhomes offer an alternative to conventional apartments by combining additional living space with the flexibility of renting.

Jake Cohen, President of The Daniels Corporation, said the company recognized an opportunity to introduce a rental housing option that reflects the diverse requirements of Brampton residents. He explained that MPV Parkfield Towns provides families with the space, privacy and independence associated with traditional townhome living, alongside the convenience and professional management of rental housing.

Spacious Homes Designed for Families

MPV Parkfield Towns features five townhome designs ranging from 2,138 to 2,667 square feet. The homes offer three or four bedrooms, finished basements, private yards, attached garages and private driveways.

These features provide residents with additional space for family activities, working from home, storage and changing household requirements. The finished basements also offer greater flexibility for residents who need separate areas for recreation, hobbies or other everyday uses.

Private outdoor areas and individual driveways further distinguish the development from many conventional rental apartment options. The combination of interior space and outdoor amenities is intended to support a residential experience suited to families of different sizes.

Lawn maintenance and most snow removal services are included, helping reduce some of the routine property upkeep responsibilities typically associated with traditional homeownership.

According to Daniels, the development is designed to offer residents the benefits of a townhome while retaining the flexibility of a rental arrangement.

Professional Property Management and Transit Access

The community will be professionally managed by Daniels Gateway Rental Communities, which has provided professionally managed rental housing across the Greater Toronto Area for more than 25 years.

The management team will provide dedicated customer service and ongoing property management support to residents. Professional management, together with included exterior maintenance services, is intended to simplify day-to-day living and allow residents to spend more time enjoying their homes and neighbourhood.

MPV Parkfield Towns is located within walking distance of Mount Pleasant GO Station and Brampton Transit connections. These transportation links provide residents with access to destinations throughout Brampton and connections to downtown Toronto.

The development’s location also places residents near grocery stores, retail shops, a public library and schools. Access to these services supports everyday convenience for families while helping integrate the townhomes into the established Mount Pleasant Village neighbourhood.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Features

Sustainability is another component of the MPV Parkfield Towns development. The homes are equipped with all-electric systems and a full suite of ENERGY STAR® appliances, alongside low-flow plumbing fixtures designed to support efficient water use.

The townhomes also include solar-ready infrastructure, providing the potential for future solar installations subject to applicable requirements. In addition, rough-ins for electric vehicle charging equipment are included, with any future installation subject to landlord approval.

These features are intended to support more efficient residential operations and provide infrastructure that can accommodate evolving energy and transportation needs.

By incorporating energy-conscious equipment and preparing for potential future technologies, the development reflects a broader approach to integrating sustainability considerations into residential construction.

Accessibility and Inclusive Community Design

Select townhomes are available through Daniels’ Accessibility Designed Program (ADP). These homes incorporate elevator-ready layouts and other accessibility features intended to support residents with changing mobility requirements.

The design approach may also benefit multigenerational households and residents who wish to remain in their homes as their accessibility needs evolve. By incorporating these considerations into selected homes, Daniels aims to provide housing options that can accommodate a wider range of living arrangements.

The surrounding community includes green spaces, natural heritage features and direct access to a new public park. The park will feature accessible playground equipment, including an accessible chair swing and play structures with ramps.

These amenities provide outdoor recreational opportunities for children and families while supporting more inclusive access to shared public spaces.

Expanding Rental Housing Choices in Brampton

The launch of MPV Parkfield Towns adds 84 purpose-built rental homes to Brampton’s Mount Pleasant Village neighbourhood. With family-sized floor plans, private outdoor spaces, energy-efficient features and access to public transportation, the development introduces a rental option designed around the needs of larger households.

The project also combines professional property management with selected maintenance services, accessibility features and nearby community amenities. These elements are intended to provide residents with a practical alternative to homeownership without sacrificing the space and privacy associated with traditional townhomes.

As Brampton’s population continues to grow, developments such as MPV Parkfield Towns demonstrate how purpose-built rental housing can contribute to a wider range of residential choices. The project represents the latest phase in Daniels’ master-planned community and reflects the continuing demand for family-oriented housing in the Greater Toronto Area.
