Balfour Beatty has announced two significant appointments to its senior leadership team, focusing on digital, procurement, and supply chain operations. These changes align with the company’s strategic emphasis on technology and innovation, which is aimed at enhancing safety, productivity, and digital capabilities within the construction and infrastructure industry.
Jon Ozanne has been promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role, he will oversee IT and digital initiatives, including cybersecurity and AI integration. A qualified accountant, Jon joined Balfour Beatty in 2015 to lead the transformation of its IT function. He was later promoted to UK IT Director and, in 2019, became Chief Information Officer for the UK.
Evan Sutherland has been elevated to Chief Procurement Officer (CPO). Since joining the company in 2015 as UK Procurement Director, Evan has been responsible for leading the UK’s procurement and supply chain functions. In his expanded role, he will now oversee all Group-wide procurement and supply chain initiatives, focusing on promoting best practices and delivering measurable value across the organization.

Both Jon Ozanne and Evan Sutherland will report directly to Leo Quinn, Balfour Beatty’s Group Chief Executive.
