Owens Corning Names Gina Beredo Chief Administrative Officer

Owens Corning, a global leader in residential and commercial building products, has announced the promotion of Gina Beredo to the newly established role of Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel. This appointment marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its strategic leadership team and optimize operational efficiency.

Expanded Leadership Role for Gina Beredo

In her newly expanded role, Ms. Beredo will oversee Owens Corning’s human resources function in addition to her existing responsibilities for legal, corporate affairs, aviation, and community affairs. This appointment reflects the company’s commitment to aligning its administrative functions with its overall business strategy to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation.

Ms. Beredo first joined Owens Corning in June 2021 as General Counsel. Since then, she has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s legal and corporate affairs strategies, ensuring compliance, and guiding strategic transactions. Her contributions have significantly impacted the company’s growth trajectory, including overseeing the successful acquisition and integration of Masonite International Corporation. This high-profile transaction expanded Owens Corning’s market presence and strengthened its position as a leading provider of building materials. Additionally, she played a key role in executing the divestiture of the company’s glass reinforcements business, which strategically realigned the company’s focus on core building products.

Beyond these business transactions, Ms. Beredo has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s legal and corporate affairs functions. Under her leadership, these areas have seen enhanced efficiency, proactive risk management, and improved stakeholder engagement. Her ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory landscapes has positioned Owens Corning for sustained success in an evolving business environment.

Leadership Endorsement and Strategic Vision

Brian Chambers, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Owens Corning, praised Ms. Beredo’s leadership, emphasizing her significant contributions to the company’s strategic direction.

“Since joining Owens Corning, Gina has been an integral part of our executive team, working across the organization to drive performance and position us for growth as we reshape and focus the company as a building products leader,” said Chambers. “Gina has continuously demonstrated the ability to bring out the very best in her teams. A champion of our employees, she will continue to ensure we have the talent and capabilities needed to win in the market and drive our company’s success.”

Her new role as Chief Administrative Officer will allow her to further integrate business functions, enhance employee engagement, and develop talent management strategies that align with Owens Corning’s long-term vision. As the company continues to expand its footprint and innovate within the building products sector, her leadership is expected to play a crucial role in shaping its future.

Transition of Human Resources Leadership

As Ms. Beredo takes on the human resources function, Owens Corning also acknowledges the contributions of Paula Russell, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, who will be stepping down following a planned transition period.

Mr. Chambers expressed his gratitude for Ms. Russell’s dedication and impact over her 25-year career with the company.

“I would also like to thank Paula Russell as she begins her planned path to pursue personal growth opportunities aligned with her passions. Paula has worked tirelessly over her career to modernize our human resources practices and processes and enhance employee engagement and belonging, which has been key to our operational and financial success,” said Chambers.

Ms. Russell has been instrumental in shaping the company’s workforce strategies, enhancing diversity and inclusion efforts, and modernizing HR processes to support Owens Corning’s evolving business needs. Her leadership has contributed to a strong organizational culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

She will remain with the company through mid-April to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities to Ms. Beredo.
