KBR Secures $113M Contract to Boost Digital Engineering for Future Tanker Programs

KBR (NYSE: KBR) has secured a $113 million task order to support aeronautical systems research, development, testing, and evaluation for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) Mobility Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The five-year contract was awarded through the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s (DoDIAC) multiple-award contract vehicle.

The U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron awarded this task order to KBR to enhance the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) repository and support research and development across the science and technology community.

As part of the contract, KBR will deliver program management, engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, test and evaluation, and administrative analysis. The team will also update and develop program documents essential to the Future Tankers Program Office (AFLCMC/WLY), impacting key initiatives such as the Next Generation Air-refueling System (NGAS) and the modernization of legacy tanker aircraft systems.

Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO, commented, “KBR is proud to support this task order and continue advancing the U.S. Air Force’s digital transformation. This win underscores our commitment to digital engineering and defense modernization.”

KBR’s efforts will also focus on building a digital workforce to streamline decision-making and enhance Digital Material Management (DMM) processes, ultimately aiming to reduce costs, minimize risks, and shorten timelines for military system development.
