The project will deliver 780 high-quality new homes alongside a wide range of supporting community facilities, marking a significant step forward in addressing local housing demand while fostering long-term, sustainable community growth.

The proposed development is based on a comprehensive Strategic Masterplan created collaboratively by Vistry and Epping Forest District Council. This plan was shaped through extensive engagement with stakeholders, including local residents, community groups, and other interested parties. Public consultation played a central role in refining the proposals, ensuring that the final scheme reflects the needs, priorities, and character of the existing community. By incorporating this feedback, the development aims to strike a balance between growth and preservation, supporting new housing while maintaining the unique identity of North Weald Bassett.

A key objective of the Masterplan is to retain the village feel that defines North Weald Bassett. Rather than introducing a disconnected or overly dense urban scheme, the development has been carefully designed to integrate with its surroundings. Protecting existing community assets and enhancing local amenities are central to the plan, ensuring that both current residents and future homeowners benefit from improved infrastructure and services.

In addition to the new homes, the project includes a range of facilities designed to support a thriving and self-sustaining community. Importantly, this project represents the first of the large-scale sites identified in the Local Plan to receive approval through the planning committee process.
