Weis Markets Breaks Ground at Bayberry Town Center
Blenheim Group is excited to announce the commencement of construction on Weis Markets at Bayberry Town Center, a highly anticipated 280,000-square-foot mixed-use retail destination located in north Middletown, Delaware. This development is poised to become a vibrant community hub, offering a diverse mix of retail, dining, and essential services.
The centerpiece of this new development is a 64,000-square-foot Weis Markets grocery store, marking the company’s fourth location in Delaware and its first ground-up construction in the state. This state-of-the-art store will showcase Weis Markets’ latest innovative design, featuring expansive fresh food departments, a full-service pharmacy, and a grocery section with a wide range of products. Additionally, the store will include a Weis Gas N’ Go fuel center, providing added convenience to shoppers. Customers will have the option to order groceries online, with choices for home delivery or in-store pickup. Both the grocery store and fuel center are scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Bayberry Town Center is rapidly gaining momentum, attracting a mix of national and local tenants eager to establish a presence in this dynamic trade area. Chipotle, McDonald’s, and Bloom Nail Salon have already signed leases, while negotiations are ongoing with Chase Bank, Wingstop, UPS, Great Clips, and Verizon. Discussions are also underway with additional retailers, restaurants, and service providers to secure space within the center. The first buildings are expected to begin construction this spring, with grand openings projected between fall 2025 and spring 2026.
To commemorate the start of construction, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at Bayberry Town Center this spring. The specific date and time will be announced shortly.

Situated along Boyds Corner Road (Route 896), between Jamison Corner Road and Routes 1 and 13, the Village of Bayberry features nearly 2,700 homes, with over 2,000 already sold.
