VINCI wins a new rail contract in France

Renewal of 800 km of tracks on the French network,Seven-year contract including two years of optional work,Amount of approximately €700 million

As part of the national rail network transformation and modernization program, SNCF Réseau awarded VINCI Construction – through its subsidiary ETF – lot 4 of the industrial regeneration contract.

Worth 700 million euros – based on economic conditions in July 2023 – the project involves the renewal of more than 800 km of tracks and ballast across the entire French territory by the end of 2030. It will improve regularity and increase the frequency of trains.

The work will be carried out using several mobile factory trains, regenerating the tracks at industrial rates called “rapid suites”. 150,000 hours of integration and training will be carried out over the next seven years of work.

ETF will be able to draw on its long-standing experience in this type of specialized work, having already carried out the renewal of 1,750 km of railway tracks.
