U-Haul® is stepping in to support residents across the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro and other regions of north and west Texas by offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage at 75 participating locations. The offer comes in response to the damaging storms and widespread flooding that swept through the area Sunday night.
Dallas County was heavily impacted by flash flooding, while strong winds in Fannin County caused roof and tree damage to several homes. As residents begin recovery efforts, access to secure, dry storage is essential for safeguarding personal belongings and facilitating cleanup.
“We had crazy weather last night across Dallas metro, and our teams are willing to help anyone in need,” said Matt Merrill, U-Haul Area District Vice President for the DFW metroplex. “If a month of free storage can assist with your recovery after the storms, call or stop by any U-Haul-owned center in the area.”
The 30-day disaster relief offer applies to new rentals of self-storage units and U-Box containers, subject to availability. U-Box portable containers included in the program are for on-site storage at U-Haul company centers.
