Forbes recognizes Turner’s efforts to provide a great workplace for military veterans.
Turner Construction Company was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s best employers for veterans. Forbes and market research firm Statista recognize how Turner has created a workplace where former and current members of the military can thrive.
Veterans were asked to rate their employer on criteria such as salary, career advancement opportunities, onboarding policies that help veterans transition into work life, health benefits, and representation of veterans in upper management. Turner actively recruits service members transitioning out of the military. Turner also fully supports National Guard and Reserve members and we recognize their service with a generous leave and pay differential policy.
Turner has a Veterans Employee Resource Group that honors, supports, and connects military members, veterans, and their families. This includes a national group and 21 local chapters across the company.
“The environment Turner has created is welcoming to everyone and encourages all to be their authentic selves,” said Steve Fort, Senior Vice President, Turner Construction Company. “Having served in the Navy for seven years prior to my career at Turner, I can say without hesitation that this is clearly demonstrated in its recruiting, on-boarding, support of our Veteran Employee Resource Groups, and financial assistance of Veteran-centric organizations outside of the company. It is no surprise to me, or my military Veteran colleagues at Turner, that we are named as a Best Employer for Veterans by Forbes.”
This honor comes on the heels of Turner being named one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity and one of America’s Greatest Places to Work for New Graduates by Forbes earlier this year.
