Turner Finalizes Three New Airport Lounges for Travelers

An airport is more than just a transportation hub; it serves as a gateway that connects people to one another and to the community. Often, it is the first impression travelers get when arriving in a new city. Airport lounges provide a haven for travelers to relax and recharge, while also offering local touches that welcome passengers to the community.

Turner Construction Company recognizes the significance of these connections and has recently expanded its extensive experience in aviation lounges with the opening of three new Clubs. The Airport Dimensions Club SFO and the Alaska Airlines Lounge have been unveiled at San Francisco International Airport in California, while the Delta One Lounge has opened at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

“We are proud of the new additions to our portfolio,” said Nelly Vasquez, Business Development Manager at Turner Construction Company. “In the past six years, we’ve completed over 70 lounges across the United States for a diverse range of airlines and non-airline clients. Our goal is to provide travelers with top-tier amenities across the country, and these new lounges are a continuation of that effort.”

The Airport Dimensions Club SFO offers 249 seats and a variety of world-class amenities, focusing on personal well-being. The club has been certified LEED-Gold and features a unique microclimate fireplace, a first-of-its-kind at an airport. This temperature-controlled space uses water vapor and special lighting to create the effect of a campfire.

The Alaska Airlines Lounge at SFO embodies a welcoming West Coast atmosphere, with open spaces filled with natural light and warm finishes. It offers high-end amenities and ample space for travelers to escape the hustle and bustle of the airport.

“We are incredibly proud of the work our team put into bringing these exceptional lounges to San Francisco travelers,” said Nino Adamo, Vice President and General Manager of Turner Construction Company. “The Club SFO and Alaska Lounge will become crown jewels of the airport, perfectly capturing the essence of ‘Northern California Natural’ and West Coast vibes.”

The Delta One Lounge at JFK seats 515 people and offers a high-end restaurant, a food counter, an art-deco-inspired bar, and comfortable lounge areas. Travelers can relax here before their flight or during a layover. The lounge also features the iconic Sky Deck with an elevated luxurious feel and a Wellness Room, a premium spa designed for ultimate relaxation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Delta’s business class travelers to this lavish new experience,” said Charlie Whitney, Vice President and General Manager of Turner Construction Company. “We extend our gratitude to the entire Delta Terminal 4 Project Team for their exceptional work in creating such an innovative space. This is Turner’s fifth lounge for Delta Airlines, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to serve Delta and their passengers across their network.”

“Turner is proud to lead the way in enhancing the passenger experience at U.S. airports by building state-of-the-art facilities that cater to the needs of millions of travelers each day,” said James Fraser, Senior Vice President & Aviation Market Leader at Turner Construction Company.
