Turner Achieves Major Milestone on Clemson University’s College of Veterinary Medicine Project

Turner Construction Company and Clemson University recently celebrated a major milestone in the development of the Harvey S. Peeler College of Veterinary Medicine with a ceremonial beam signing. This event marks a historic moment in veterinary education and research, as the college will be South Carolina’s first veterinary school. It is set to welcome students from across the state and beyond.

The new veterinary campus will include seven purpose-built facilities:

  • The Hub, a dynamic central space for learning, studying, and student engagement
  • Ambulatory Service Building
  • Clinical Teaching Building
  • Research Building
  • Central Utility Plant
  • Farm Animal Teaching Building
  • Equine Teaching Building

With the growing need for veterinary professionals in South Carolina, this initiative represents a vital investment in the health and well-being of both animals and people across the region.

“This project fills the Turner team with immense pride,” said William Hussey, Project Executive at Turner Construction Company. “We recognize the tremendous, lasting impact this campus will have on Clemson’s students and the communities they will go on to serve. We are ALL IN—fully committed to delivering a facility that will stand as a point of pride for both Clemson and Turner.”

The college is expected to be completed in 2026, with its inaugural class set to begin that fall.
