Tivoli Lighting Launches VAST EX Grazer Exterior Linear Lighting System

Tivoli Lighting has introduced the VAST EX Grazer, a new high-output exterior linear lighting system designed for architectural façade illumination, wall grazing, wall washing, and other large-scale outdoor lighting applications. The launch expands the company’s portfolio of professional lighting solutions and reflects its continued focus on innovation in exterior linear lighting technology.

With more than 50 years of experience in developing linear lighting systems, Tivoli Lighting designed the VAST EX Grazer to combine precise beam control, flexible installation capabilities, and long-term durability for demanding architectural environments. The system is intended for use across commercial buildings, entertainment venues, hospitality developments, public spaces, and other projects where exterior lighting performance and visual impact are critical.

The VAST EX Grazer is available in two primary configurations: Static White and Palette RGB+White Pixel. Both options are engineered to support modern architectural lighting requirements while offering advanced control capabilities and installation flexibility.

One of the system’s most notable features is Tivoli Lighting’s patented Z-bracket mounting system. The articulated mounting design provides up to 230 degrees of beam adjustment, allowing lighting designers and installers to accurately aim fixtures across flat, curved, angled, and irregular architectural surfaces. According to the company, the mounting system represents an industry-first multi-point articulated beam control solution for this type of exterior linear lighting application.

Precise beam aiming has become increasingly important in architectural lighting projects where designers seek to highlight building textures, architectural details, and structural forms while minimizing unwanted glare and spill light. Traditional exterior linear lighting systems can be limited in their adjustability, particularly when installed on complex building geometries. Tivoli Lighting says the VAST EX Grazer’s articulated mounting system addresses these challenges by allowing more accurate fixture positioning across a wider range of surfaces and installation conditions.

The lighting system was also designed to simplify installation and support long continuous runs. VAST EX Grazer operates on self-ballasted 100–277V AC power, eliminating the need for remote drivers that are commonly required in many exterior LED lighting systems. Removing remote drivers can help reduce installation complexity, simplify maintenance, and improve overall system integration.

The fixtures support both 0–10V dimming and ELV dimming protocols, providing compatibility with a variety of architectural lighting control systems. This flexibility allows designers and building operators to integrate the fixtures into larger lighting management and automation systems while supporting precise light-level control.

At 277V, fixture runs can extend up to 113 feet, helping reduce the number of power feeds and connection points required across large projects. The system also includes integrated flexible connectors designed to accommodate curved surfaces and directional transitions while maintaining minimal visual gaps between fixtures. This feature is especially valuable for architectural projects where uninterrupted lines of light are important to the overall design aesthetic.

The Static White version of the VAST EX Grazer is designed for projects requiring high-output, consistent white illumination. The system offers multiple beam angle options, including 10° × 20°, 10° × 50°, and 30° × 50°, allowing lighting designers to tailor light distribution based on façade geometry and desired visual effects.

Available color temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, all with a color rendering index (CRI) above 90. High CRI values are important in architectural lighting because they improve the accuracy and vibrancy of illuminated materials, textures, and colors.

The Static White configuration delivers up to 1,258 lumens per foot while achieving efficiency levels of up to 108 lumens per watt. This combination of high output and energy efficiency supports both performance and sustainability objectives in modern lighting design.

To further enhance beam control and visual comfort, Tivoli Lighting offers optional accessories including symmetrical and asymmetrical optics as well as internal glare-control components. These accessories help designers refine light distribution and reduce unwanted glare, particularly in pedestrian areas or visually sensitive environments.

The Static White fixtures are available in both 1-foot and 4-foot lengths and support dimming down to 3 percent using either 0–10V or ELV control systems. This low-level dimming capability allows for greater flexibility in creating dynamic lighting scenes and adapting illumination levels based on time of day or project requirements.

In addition to the Static White configuration, Tivoli Lighting introduced the VAST EX Grazer Palette, an advanced RGB+White Pixel version designed for dynamic color-changing architectural lighting applications.

The Palette system combines RGB color mixing with dedicated white channels available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K options. By incorporating separate white LEDs in addition to RGB color channels, the system can deliver both vibrant color effects and high-quality white illumination, improving versatility across entertainment and architectural applications.

The Palette version includes pixel-level control capabilities, allowing individual sections of the fixture to be programmed independently for advanced lighting effects and animations. The system supports DMX-512 control, auto addressing, and Remote Device Management (RDM) compatibility, enabling integration with professional entertainment and architectural lighting control systems.

Pixel-level control has become increasingly popular in modern façade lighting and immersive architectural environments because it allows designers to create dynamic movement, color transitions, media effects, and interactive lighting displays across building surfaces.

According to Tivoli Lighting, the Palette system is particularly well suited for entertainment venues, landmark architecture, hospitality projects, public installations, and immersive outdoor environments where programmable lighting effects play a key role in the overall visual experience.

Durability and long-term performance were major considerations in the development of the VAST EX Grazer system. All fixtures feature marine-grade construction and are rated IP67 for protection against dust and water intrusion, making them suitable for dry, damp, and wet outdoor locations.

The fixtures are designed to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°F to 122°F, allowing them to perform reliably across a wide range of environmental conditions. They are also rated for 3G vibration resistance, an important feature for installations exposed to wind, transportation infrastructure movement, or other vibration-related conditions.

Tivoli Lighting states that the fixtures are engineered for a 90,000-hour performance life, supporting long-term operational reliability and reducing maintenance requirements for building owners and facility operators.

The system is available in black and silver finish options to complement various architectural styles and façade materials. The fixtures are cETLus listed, RoHS compliant, and backed by a five-year manufacturer warranty.

The launch of the VAST EX Grazer reflects broader trends in architectural lighting where designers and developers increasingly seek high-performance systems capable of combining precision, flexibility, durability, and advanced control capabilities. As façade lighting becomes a more prominent component of building identity and nighttime architecture, demand continues to grow for solutions that support both creative expression and operational performance.

With the introduction of the VAST EX Grazer, Tivoli Lighting is expanding its position within the professional architectural lighting market by offering a system designed to meet the evolving needs of designers, architects, and developers working on complex exterior illumination projects across commercial, hospitality, entertainment, and civic environments.
