Suffolk, one of the nation’s largest and most forward-thinking real estate and construction enterprises, has officially expanded its presence in the West with the opening of a new office in Las Vegas. This strategic move supports the growing demand for development in the gaming and hospitality industries throughout the region. To lead the operation, Suffolk has appointed veteran construction executive Chris Anderson as General Manager. Anderson will report to Pete Tuffo, Suffolk’s President of the Gulf Coast Region and National Gaming, as the company deepens its foothold in the dynamic Las Vegas market.

The establishment of a Las Vegas office further cements Suffolk’s position as a key player in the gaming and hospitality sectors, industries in which the company has long delivered complex, large-scale projects. Suffolk’s unique organizational structure, characterized by its flat hierarchy and private ownership under Chairman and CEO John Fish, enables more agile and efficient decision-making. This operational model provides clients with an unmatched level of personalized service and streamlined project execution—critical advantages in a city where speed and precision define success. Suffolk was recently selected as the general contractor for the prestigious Four Seasons Private Residences, located just south of the Las Vegas Strip in Henderson, Nevada.

“Las Vegas is a rapidly evolving market for gaming and hospitality, and Suffolk’s efficient, technology-driven approach positions us well to deliver exceptional value to our clients,” said Pete Tuffo. “With more major projects on the horizon, we are excited to contribute to the city’s continued economic growth by delivering world-class developments.”

Chris Anderson to Lead Suffolk’s Las Vegas Expansion

Chris Anderson brings four decades of experience in business development, financial management, and pre-construction leadership to Suffolk. He possesses deep regional expertise and strong relationships within the gaming sector, having successfully led projects for renowned clients such as Wynn Resorts, MGM, Mohegan Tribal Gaming, Caesars Entertainment, and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. His extensive portfolio includes overseeing the construction of some of Las Vegas’s most high-profile developments, including CityCenter and the Luxor Las Vegas.

The company’s gaming portfolio includes some of the most iconic casino and resort properties in the country, including:

  • The guitar-shaped Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida

  • Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, California

With the addition of its Las Vegas office, Suffolk is poised to further enhance its capabilities in this market, providing clients with an industry-leading combination of innovation, expertise, and execution.

Commitment to Community and Corporate Social Responsibility

Beyond its construction expertise, Suffolk is committed to making a meaningful impact in the communities where it operates. The company has expanded its Giving Circle program to Las Vegas, reinforcing its culture of caring and social responsibility. Giving Circle is an employee-run nonprofit that provides financial support to Suffolk employees, subcontractors, and trade partners in times of crisis. In 2024 alone, the organization distributed $1.75 million in grants to families across the country.

In addition, Suffolk recently launched a Volunteer Pledge initiative, encouraging each employee to dedicate 20 hours annually to community service. This program formalizes the company’s commitment to charitable work and allows employees to support a wide range of causes through meaningful, hands-on involvement.
