Acquisition of Sandkamp Tiefbau GmbH by STRABAG AG All employees taken on Integration into STRABAG Subdivision North, Business Unit Nordhorn
STRABAG AG, based in Cologne, has acquired Sandkamp Tiefbau GmbH of Gronau, bolstering its regional presence and competitiveness in pipeline construction for public utility providers. As part of the acquisition, all 25 employees of Sandkamp will join the STRABAG team, operating out of the Nordhorn and Gronau locations.
With a longstanding reputation as a specialist partner to the public utilities sector, STRABAG’s Nordhorn division is poised to benefit significantly from this strategic move. The integration of the certified family-run business brings in highly skilled professionals, reinforcing customer relations and expanding local market reach in the Westmünsterland region. The increased workforce will also facilitate closer collaboration with other STRABAG Group units, enhancing regional synergies.
“There’s plenty of work ahead in the region, so we are especially pleased to expand our operations through this acquisition and welcome such dedicated new colleagues,” said Dirk Jacobs, Commercial Manager of STRABAG’s Business Unit Nordhorn.
Sandkamp Tiefbau GmbH has been a trusted, mid-sized specialist in pipeline, cable, and sewer construction for utility providers for over a century. “After many generations of family ownership, it was important for us to secure a sustainable future for the company and our valued team. I’m confident that STRABAG’s Nordhorn unit is the perfect partner to continue our legacy,” stated owner Johannes Sandkamp.
The acquisition is effective retroactively from January 1, 2025. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
