Skanska and its common adventure mate, Railroad Construction Company, inked a
contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to make advancements on
shelter stations in New York, New York, USA. Skanska’s share of the contract is worth
USD 150M, about SEK1.5 B, which will be included in the US order bookings for the
third quarter 2022.
Skanska will make advancements on the Flushing Line, including form advancements at
the 61st Street- Woodside station, relief of being escalators at the 61st StreetWoodside station and the 74th Street Broadway station and fresh repairs between
th road and 72nd road in Queens.
Work began September 2022 and anticipated completion is May 2025.
