Skanska builds subsea lair in Rogaland County, Norway, for NOK 5 billion, about SEK5.2 billion
Skanska has inked a contract with the Norwegian Road Authority to make a subsea lair in Rogaland County, Norway. The contract is worth roughly NOK 5 billion, about SEK5.2 billion, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2022.
The E39 Rogfast design is a 27 km long subsea road lair – the Boknafjord lair – between the cosmopolises Randaberg and Bokn in Rogaland County, Norway. The design is divided into parts, and the contract Skanska has inked is called E04 Boknafjord lair North.
The lair will come the world’s longest and deepest subsea road lair with a maximum depth of 392 measures below ocean position. Skanska will make the northern part of the Boknafjord lair. It’s a binary lair, and Skanska will construct18.5 km of road in lair and 2 km of road above ground.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the first quarter 2023 and will be completed in the third quarter 2029.
