Scott Moss, CEO of the nationally recognized construction firm Moss, has been inducted into the distinguished M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management Hall of Fame at the University of Florida. This honor celebrates individuals who have made substantial contributions to the construction industry and shown exemplary leadership throughout their careers.
Reflecting on his induction, Scott shared, “Being selected by industry leaders and Hall of Fame members to stand alongside Florida’s construction legends is an incredible honor.” His selection also holds special meaning as he joins his father, Bob Moss, a fellow Hall of Fame inductee and a lifelong inspiration.

Scott’s path in construction began early; he was raised around job sites and started his career at age 17 as a laborer on a concrete forming crew. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in construction management and later co-founded Moss with his father in 2004. Under Scott’s leadership as CEO, Moss has expanded to employ over 5,000 people nationwide, generating annual revenues surpassing $3 billion. Known for his approachable, collaborative leadership style, Scott promotes a workplace culture centered on continuous learning and engagement.
