
SCE Fire Relief Support Surpasses $500 Million for Eaton Fire Communities
Southern California Edison (SCE) has announced that its Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program has now extended more than $500 million in relief offers to community members impacted by the Eaton Fire, marking a major milestone in its ongoing recovery and compensation efforts. According to SCE, the program has already issued over 1,500 compensation offers to nearly 3,800 claimants. Out of these, over 1,500 offers have been issued, covering close to 3,800 claimants. More than 1,000 of these offers have already been accepted, while additional responses are still pending. Only a small fraction—less than 4%—of claimants have requested a detailed review of their offers, indicating a relatively high level of acceptance and engagement with the program.
The financial disbursement has also progressed steadily, with more than 750 claimants already receiving payments totaling over $100 million. Additional payments are currently in process, as more claimants complete the required steps under the program’s guidelines.
