In honor of Veterans Day, PulteGroup (NYSE: PHM) is celebrating three home dedication ceremonies through its Built to Honor® program, bringing the company closer to its goal of awarding 100 mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans and their families over the past decade.
“At PulteGroup, we believe the best way to show our gratitude to those who served our country is by doing what we do best, which is building homes that change lives,” said Ryan Marshall, President and CEO of PulteGroup. “As we approach our 100th Built to Honor home, each dedication represents not just a house, but a new beginning for heroes who have sacrificed so much. These mortgage-free homes provide the foundation for these veterans and their families to build their futures.”
The dedication ceremonies, set to take place between Nov. 11-14, will honor veterans with over four decades of combined service, multiple combat deployments, numerous valor awards, and significant sacrifices made in service to the nation.
The upcoming ceremonies include:
- Army Specialist Christopher Irving: A Purple Heart recipient and decorated veteran, will be honored at a dedication ceremony by PulteGroup’s Dallas Division at the Pecan Square community in Northlake, Texas, on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
- Army veteran Jacob Schanck: After completing five overseas deployments in nearly 20 years of military service, Jacob and his family will be welcomed to their new home in the Element Park community in Charlotte, NC, on Nov. 13 by PulteGroup’s Charlotte Division.
- Sergeant Major William “Shane” Stockard: A distinguished 25-year Army veteran, Shane has earned four Bronze Star Medals and served in multiple deployments. PulteGroup’s Coastal Carolinas Division will honor him at a ceremony at the Grand Arbor community in Blythewood, SC, on Nov. 14.
“Dedicating a Built to Honor home is one of the most rewarding moments we experience here at PulteGroup,” said Charlie Tipton, PulteGroup’s Central Area President. “When a deserving veteran receives their keys, they gain the opportunity to focus on their recovery, families, and futures without worrying about a monthly payment. We are so thankful to these veterans for their sacrifices and service to our country, and also grateful to our employees and trade partners for making the dream of homeownership possible.”
Since its launch in 2013, the Built to Honor program has provided 92 homes nationwide, valued at over $35 million. PulteGroup is on track to deliver its 100th home in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting veterans.
