POLYVANTIS Launches Compliant LEXAN™ Sheet Series for Railway Interiors at InnoTrans
POLYVANTIS has introduced a new LEXAN™ sheet series designed for railway interiors, offering lightweight, durable solutions that meet all major Flame, Smoke, and Toxicity (FST) standards. These sheets are designed for applications such as wall and seat claddings, window frames, partition walls, and ceilings. With a focus on sustainability, the series offers a low CO2 footprint and recyclability, contributing to railway operators’ efforts to reduce their environmental impact.

The LEXAN H6600 sheet stands out with its balance of light weight, durability, and compliance with EN 45545-2 and other railway fire protection standards. It is suitable for large, thermoformed interior components. Meanwhile, the LEXAN H6900 sheet, designed for seating, offers enhanced passenger comfort and improved fuel efficiency through its lightweight, impact-resistant properties.
Compared to traditional fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) and aluminum, the LEXAN sheet series offers up to 30% weight savings per part, superior design flexibility, and lower lifecycle costs. These materials also feature anti-graffiti surfaces, simplifying maintenance.
