Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers Select Turner, AECOM Hunt Joint Venture for New Arena
The Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers have announced that a joint venture between Turner Construction and AECOM Hunt—operating as PACT+—has been chosen as the construction manager for their new, state-of-the-art arena in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.
PACT+ brings together leading industry expertise and strong local representation, with Philadelphia-based firms Perryman Construction, Hunter Roberts Construction Group, and Camfred Construction joining the team. The joint venture will collaborate closely with ownership and the design partners at Populous and Moody Nolan to bring the project to fruition.
The arena is slated to open in 2030, aligning with the debut of the WNBA’s new Philadelphia franchise, which will make the venue its home.
“Having Turner and AECOM Hunt on our team is a game-changer as we build the most technologically advanced and fan-focused sports and entertainment venue in the world,” said David Adelman, Chairman of the joint venture between the 76ers and Flyers. “With their experience and commitment to Philadelphia, this team will deliver an arena our city and fans can be proud of.”
Dave Kaminski, Vice President and Senior General Manager at Turner Construction, added, “This is more than just a construction project—it’s a chance to build a lasting part of Philadelphia’s fabric. As a local resident, I’m proud to help create a landmark that will unite and inspire our community.”
Jason Kopp, COO of AECOM Hunt’s Central Region, emphasized, “This next-generation arena will redefine the fan experience for decades. It represents the best of innovation, vision, and the skill of Philadelphia’s world-class workforce.”
With more than 50 years of combined stadium and arena expertise and two decades of partnership, Turner and AECOM Hunt bring a proven track record of delivering premier sports facilities. Their collective portfolio includes Philadelphia landmarks such as Lincoln Financial Field, FMC Tower, One uCity Square, and the upcoming Chubb Center, as well as nationally renowned venues including SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, State Farm Arena, Barclays Center, and the under-construction Nissan Stadium in Tennessee.
