NRP Group Breaks Ground on 360-Unit Dallas Workforce Community

The NRP Group, a nationally recognized, vertically integrated developer, builder, and manager of multifamily communities, has officially closed financing and begun construction on Camp Wisdom, a new 360-unit market-rate housing development in Southwest Dallas. Positioned at the intersection of W. Camp Wisdom Road and Clark Road, this project is being introduced at a time when Dallas continues to struggle with rising housing costs and a widening gap in rental affordability. Camp Wisdom aims to directly support the region’s essential workforce by providing high-quality rental options close to major employment hubs, educational institutions, and medical centers.

As one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States, Dallas faces increasing demand for reasonably priced housing, particularly among middle-income earners. These include teachers, nurses, first responders, university staff members, and other essential professionals whose daily work keeps the city functioning. The escalating cost of living has made it difficult for many of these workers to live near their jobs, creating long commutes and contributing to community-wide economic pressure.

Camp Wisdom will offer 360 residences, evenly divided between 180 one-bedroom and 180 two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 860 to 1,080 square feet. Each home is designed with comfort and convenience in mind, featuring stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets, and contemporary finishes. The modern unit layouts and features are intended to meet the needs of busy professionals and families looking for spacious, well-equipped homes without having to sacrifice affordability.

The development’s strategic location provides excellent connectivity. Residents will have quick access to U.S. Highway 67 and Interstate 20, enabling easy commutes and placing downtown Dallas less than 25 minutes away. Camp Wisdom is located less than a mile from Ascent at Mountain Creek, The NRP Group’s recently opened 324-unit mixed-income community. Approximately half of the units at Ascent are reserved for households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), underscoring NRP’s ongoing dedication to building housing that serves a diverse spectrum of residents. The proximity of these two communities helps strengthen the area’s overall housing ecosystem, offering a range of price points and housing options within the same neighborhood.
