L&T Construction Wins a Significant Order for its Heavy Civil structure Business
The Heavy Civil structure Business of Larsen & Toubro has secured an order from the prestigious Greenko group, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, for development of an off sluice pumped storehouse design in Madhya Pradesh.
The Civil and Hydromechanical workshop of the design will be executed through a Consortium led by Larsen & Toubro, under a strict timeline of 30 months. Upon completion, the design will be one of the largest clean energy systems of its kind in India.
Securing this pumped storehouse system order reiterates Larsen & Toubro’s commitment to bolster India’s clean energy sector and a step forward towards the country’s thing of being Carbon Neutral.
About Project
The Gandhisagar Pumped Storage Project( PSP), designed to meet a pumped storehouse capacity of,080 MWHr, envisages creation of an upper force near Khemla block vill,( about 75 Kms from Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh) while the being Gandhisagar force will be the lower force. The design involves constructing an Upper levee( to form the upper force), Intake Structure with Approach Channel, Steel Lined Buried tube/ Pressure Shaft( Vertical & Horizontal), Surface hustler, Draft tube lair, Tailrace Outlet Structure, Tailrace channel,etc.
Pumped hydro storehouse shops that store energy using a system of two connected budgets have assumed immense significance moment given the increased relinquishment of essential variability. Water is pumped to the upper force in times of fat energy and, in times of redundant demand, water from the upper force is released, generating power, with an overall cycle effectiveness of 80 or further.
