Leblon Delienne Partners with LEXON to Expand Its Global Presence

BOW (Brands of Wonder), the international brand group behind French design brand LEXON, has announced the acquisition of Leblon Delienne, the renowned French sculpture atelier celebrated for transforming iconic pop culture characters into collectible art and design objects.

The acquisition brings together Leblon Delienne’s distinctive craftsmanship, creative heritage and extensive portfolio of licensed collections with BOW’s international distribution network, digital expertise and experience in developing global design brands. The partnership is expected to accelerate Leblon Delienne’s international growth while preserving the identity and craftsmanship that have defined the atelier for more than four decades.

Juliette de Blegiers, who acquired Leblon Delienne in 2018, will remain a minority shareholder in the company. She will continue working closely with BOW founder and president Boris Brault, as well as Leblon Delienne’s existing management and creative teams, as the company enters its next phase of development.

Founded more than 40 years ago, Leblon Delienne has built a distinctive position at the intersection of art, design and popular culture. Its collections transform globally recognized characters into sculptures, figurines, furniture and decorative objects, with many pieces produced as limited and numbered editions.

The atelier’s licensing portfolio includes major entertainment and lifestyle properties such as Disney, Warner Bros., Peanuts, Playmobil and Sanrio. Alongside its licensed collections, Leblon Delienne works with artists, designers, interior designers and luxury brands to create bespoke commissions and exclusive pieces.

At the heart of the company’s operations is its atelier in Neufchâtel-en-Bray, Normandy, where skilled artisans produce its sculptures. The company has also received France’s Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV), or “Living Heritage Company,” designation. Awarded under the oversight of the French Ministry of the Economy, the distinction recognizes businesses with exceptional and rare traditional expertise.

BOW believes the acquisition creates a strong strategic fit between the two companies. According to Boris Brault, Leblon Delienne combines history, emotion and craftsmanship with an ability to reinterpret familiar cultural icons through art and design.

The acquisition also reflects the growing opportunities within the global collectibles market, particularly as collecting increasingly attracts adult consumers seeking distinctive, premium and emotionally meaningful objects. BOW sees Leblon Delienne as an opportunity to expand its presence in this market while building a broader portfolio of complementary brands.

“We want to preserve the soul of Leblon Delienne while providing the resources and international platform needed to take the brand further,” Brault said. The company plans to focus on developing new collections, establishing creative collaborations, expanding digital activity and increasing its presence in international markets.

BOW’s experience with LEXON provides a foundation for this strategy. Since becoming part of BOW in 2018, LEXON has significantly expanded its international business, with global product sales increasing nearly fivefold. International markets now represent around 80% of LEXON’s business, while the United States has become its largest e-commerce market.

LEXON currently operates across 90 countries and has a retail presence in more than 9,000 locations. The French design brand has also received more than 250 international design awards and sells millions of products annually.

One example of LEXON’s approach to high-profile collaborations is its Balloon Dog collection created with artist Jeff Koons and The Broad in Los Angeles. The first edition attracted thousands of collectors internationally within its first year, demonstrating the potential of combining recognized creative names, cultural icons and accessible design.

Leblon Delienne shares a similar philosophy of bringing together artistic creativity and recognizable cultural references. Its creative collaborations have included designers and artists such as Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Eugeni Quitllet and José Lévy. Quitllet and Lévy have also worked with LEXON, highlighting existing creative connections between the two brands.

Following the acquisition, BOW intends to leverage its digital platforms and expertise in online sales to introduce Leblon Delienne’s creations to wider audiences. The group will also seek to strengthen relationships with existing collectors while developing new digital channels for discovering and purchasing collectible art and design.

International distribution will be another major area of focus. BOW plans to expand Leblon Delienne’s presence in key global markets while exploring new licensing opportunities with entertainment, cultural and lifestyle brands. The group also intends to develop exclusive sculptures and new collectible editions that can broaden the atelier’s appeal among established and emerging collectors.

Despite the planned expansion, the company’s French identity and production heritage are expected to remain central to its strategy. The Normandy atelier, its artisans and its existing teams will continue to play a fundamental role in developing and producing Leblon Delienne’s collections.

The acquisition represents a new chapter for Leblon Delienne, combining traditional French craftsmanship with international commercial and digital capabilities. For BOW, it further strengthens a growing portfolio of design and art brands and extends its expertise beyond everyday design products into the premium collectible art market.

With its established licensing relationships, creative collaborations, artisanal expertise and renewed access to international markets, Leblon Delienne is positioned to pursue its ambition of becoming a leading global name in collectible sculpture while maintaining the craftsmanship and creative character that have made the atelier distinctive.
