Humphreys Capital Advances Generational Leadership Transition

Humphreys Capital Announces Leadership Transition with Grant Humphreys as Chairman

Humphreys Capital, a leading institutional investment manager, has appointed Grant Humphreys as Chairman of the Board of Directors, marking a significant step in the firm’s ongoing leadership transition. Grant succeeds his father, Kirk Humphreys, who will now serve as Chairman Emeritus, continuing to provide guidance as a board member. Blair Humphreys will remain Chief Executive Officer, while Braden Merritt has been named the firm’s new President.

This change marks the latest phase in a transition that began in 2020, when Kirk Humphreys shifted his focus to mentoring the next generation of leaders. The latest appointments reinforce Humphreys Capital’s vision for long-term, sustainable growth.

Grant Humphreys, who has served as President for the past four years, will now take on the role of Chairman, where he will provide strategic direction and governance for the firm. “We are grateful for Grant’s established leadership,” said CEO Blair Humphreys. “His contributions have been instrumental, and we look forward to his continued involvement as Chairman.”

The promotion of Braden Merritt to President highlights his outstanding leadership and strategic skills. Merritt, who joined the firm in 2017, brings a rich background of experience, including service as a U.S. Marine Corps officer and positions at Boston Consulting Group and Google.

“Braden has been an invaluable member of our team,” said Grant Humphreys. “His leadership experience in both the military and corporate worlds makes him uniquely qualified for this role. We are confident in his ability to help lead Humphreys Capital to new levels of success.”

With these leadership transitions, Humphreys Capital remains committed to delivering exceptional results for its investors, guided by a dynamic and experienced team.
