CMC Packaging Automation CMC Packaging Automation earned recognition for its revolutionary automated packaging solutions, which create custom-fit packages on demand. This right-sizing technology significantly reduces waste, improves shipping efficiency, and addresses packaging challenges exposed during the COVID-19-era e-commerce boom. CMC’s system eliminates the need for void fillers and enhances the durability and precision of packages, streamlining the entire fulfillment process. Widely adopted by major retailers and logistics giants like Amazon, Best Buy, Urban Outfitters, and Decathlon, this innovation is helping redefine the future of e-commerce with more environmentally responsible packaging options.

Georgia-Pacific Georgia-Pacific was honored for its development of water-based barrier coatings for corrugated packaging, a sustainable alternative to traditional wax-based coatings. The innovation is especially transformative in protein packaging, maintaining product integrity and food safety while improving recyclability. These coatings prevent oils and moisture from seeping through the packaging, which enhances transport performance and shelf life. Georgia-Pacific’s new approach is already reshaping the industry standard and is being applied in a range of packaging scenarios, setting the stage for broader adoption of eco-friendly solutions.

Changzhou Xingyu Changzhou Xingyu stood out for its advances in automotive lighting technologies, including Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB), Digital Light Processing (DLP), and Micro LED lighting systems. These cutting-edge solutions improve road visibility, driver safety, and vehicle aesthetics. With increasing demands for high-performance lighting, effective heat management has become a critical concern. Changzhou Xingyu addressed this challenge by integrating advanced adhesives from H.B. Fuller to enhance heat control and durability in its lighting systems. These innovations are now being implemented in a wide range of passenger vehicles, offering more precise illumination, reduced glare, and greater longevity.

MITER Brands MITER Brands received recognition for its triple-insulating glass units (IGUs), which improve the energy efficiency, durability, and performance of windows and doors. In collaboration with Corning Incorporated, MITER Brands developed a lightweight, high-performance IGU system that maintains compatibility with existing dual-pane window frames. This innovation significantly enhances thermal insulation, reducing energy consumption, improving indoor comfort, and lowering overall carbon emissions. The new IGU solution offers a sustainable, scalable upgrade for residential and commercial building applications.

These four companies exemplify how H.B. Fuller’s customer partnerships drive transformational innovations across industries. Whether in packaging, construction, automotive, or manufacturing, the impact of adhesives as an enabling technology continues to grow. Through its annual Customer Innovation Awards, H.B. Fuller celebrates not just the technical breakthroughs of its clients, but also their role in creating a smarter, greener, and more resilient global economy.
