A unique alliance that combines Entech’s expertise in storage and network management with Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ know-how in electrical, industrial and energy engineering.
A joint venture aimed at the construction and operation-maintenance of battery electricity storage units connected to the high voltage network.
A target market in France of more than 1 billion euros.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, a major player in the design-construction-maintenance of systems and equipment in electrical, industrial, climate and energy engineering, and Entech, a technology company specializing in the storage and intelligent management of renewable energies, today signed an agreement for the creation of a joint venture.
This joint venture will be dedicated to the design and integration of storage systems, the construction of the substation for connection to the high voltage network, the control tools, and the securing of batteries, as part of large-scale projects. The targeted projects are regional or national battery storage units, located in mainland France and connected to the high voltage network (HTB, from 50 to 400 kV). The two partners are already positioned on several of these projects with relatively advanced upstream study work.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and Entech share the same ambition: to contribute to the development of a carbon-free energy mix as part of the energy transition. By combining their forces, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and Entech are inaugurating a partnership capable of reconciling profitability and positive impact on territories and the environment.
“Through this partnership, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is entering the emerging energy storage market, a natural extension of our historic positioning as a leading player in the design-construction of energy production units. renewable energy. Energy storage is in fact a direct corollary of the massive growth of renewables in our energy mix. This joint venture will combine cutting-edge technical expertise and deployment power to provide a comprehensive response to market needs. » declares Ludovic Duplan, President of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes.
“I am delighted that the discussions between our teams have led to the creation of this joint venture.
We are united by common values and equipped with complementary know-how that provides a solid response to the technological and operational needs of large storage projects. Building on our shared commitment and our market expertise, we are convinced that this joint venture will play a major role in the development of energy storage and will effectively contribute to the needs of ENR project leaders. This initiative also represents a new growth and profitability accelerator for Entech. » says Christopher Franquet, CEO and founder of Entech.
The joint venture will be 60% owned by Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and 40% by Entech, while having equal governance. It should be officially created within two to three months, after consultation with staff representative bodies and approval of corporate bodies, regulators and competent authorities.
