Construction Begins on Harvard Enterprise Research Campus Lab Buildings

Turner Construction Company, in a joint venture with Janey Construction Management and J&J Contractors, celebrated groundbreaking.

Turner Construction Company, alongside joint venture partners Janey Construction Management and J&J Contractors, celebrated the groundbreaking of Harvard University’s Enterprise Research Campus East and West Lab Buildings in Allston, Massachusetts.

The buildings will host 15 floors of lab space and include below-grade parking and connectivity to the balance of the vibrant Harvard Enterprise Research Campus Development. The cutting-edge research and development lab buildings are designed and will be built to ensure a healthy workspace environment with a focus on sustainability, resiliency, and equity.

“It is great to begin work on state-of-the-art lab buildings that will result in scientific breakthroughs,” said Kent Kunkel, Vice President and General Manager, Turner Construction Company. “We are excited to work with Breakthrough Properties, Harvard University, our joint venture partners, and the community on this important project.”

The two buildings will total 440,000 square feet and be completed in Spring 2025.
