CIMIC Group’s Leighton Asia has been awarded a major construction contract by leading Indian real estate developer Elan Group to deliver a premium residential project, Elan The Emperor, in Gurugram, India.
Located in the same region as Elan The Presidential—an ongoing eight-tower development also being built by Leighton Asia—the new project will feature 10 high-rise towers, each approximately 145 metres tall. The development will span a built-up area of around 490,000 square metres and is expected to generate revenue of approximately A$200 million.
Commenting on the award, CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaría said:
“Securing this follow-on project with Elan Group reflects Leighton Asia’s strong performance and focus on safety and operational excellence. We are proud to help shape Gurugram’s skyline and support its growing residential demand.”
Brad Davey, Managing Director of Leighton Asia, added:
“With over 20 years of operational experience in India, Leighton Asia is known for its commitment to quality and sustainable construction. We’re honoured to be entrusted with another landmark project by the Elan Group.”
Designed to meet IGBC LEED Gold standards, the project scope includes civil and structural works along with subcontractor management. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025, with completion expected by 2030.
