BlueLinx Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BXC), a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products, has announced the opening of a new greenfield distribution center in Portland, Oregon. This facility expands BlueLinx’s presence in the Pacific Northwest, a key growth area, enhancing the company’s ability to serve customers and tap into new markets.

The Portland distribution center will also allow BlueLinx to offer a broader range of products with quicker delivery times across the region. Reddy emphasized the center’s role in supporting the company’s mission of “Delivering on the American Dream.” He noted, “By creating jobs and investing in local infrastructure, we are excited to contribute to Portland’s economic vitality and foster lasting partnerships in the community.”
This new facility will distribute a variety of specialty and complementary structural products, supporting BlueLinx’s profitable sales growth strategy. It will also enhance the company’s prior acquisition and integration of Vandermeer Forest Products in October 2022.
