BAM appointed as contractor for North Docks design
Waterford City and County Council has awarded the contract for the construction of the North Docks structure design to BAM.

before this month the Government approved€170.6 million investment to grease access to the North Docks Strategic Development Zone.
The backing blazoned will deliver the public structure that will serve both the SDZ point and the public, with workshop on point anticipated to commence in early 2023 and be completed in 2025. The construction of the North Docks structure is anticipated to produce 200 jobs.

- fasten Waterford’s profitable, tourism and sustainable development, by creating a compact and vibrant core centred on the swash. ’ Waterford’s new state of the art Transport mecca will be unique in Ireland and will put Waterford at the van of integrated megacity centre transport structure, with train, machine, hack, cycling and auto parking each in one position. The North Docks will be connected to the heart of the megacity centre by a new sustainable transport ground for climbers, bikes, and a courtesy machine service. Our platoon looks forward to delivering these workshop which will have a lasting positive impact on the megacity and environs, enhancing sustainable connectivity and public amenities for residers, businesses, and callers likewise. ’ The overall public structure design also includes contracts for enabling and ancillary workshop which are moreover complete, ongoing or in development. These workshop include obliteration, point concurrence, mileage diversions, gemstone pitch stabilisation, drainage & flood tide defence workshop, and path widening. The structure will enable the marketable development on the SDZ Site, which will include services, domestic, retail, accommodation, and tourism investment in conference/ exhibition installations, as well as a 4- star hostel and caller’s centre. The marketable development of the point will be carried out by Harcourt Developments, a Dublin- grounded property development and operation company with a broad portfolio of award- winning systems, including Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, Park West Plaza and multitudinous shopping centres throughout the country.
