Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation Grants Over $120,000 in U.S. Higher Education Scholarships

Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation Awards Over $120,000 in Scholarships to Support Resident Education

The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation has proudly announced the recipients of its 2025 annual scholarship program, awarding more than $120,000 (£88,000) to help outstanding residents pursue their academic and career goals. The scholarships were granted to individuals living in Balfour Beatty’s military, residential, and student housing communities who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, community service, and ambition.

This year’s recipients are pursuing a wide array of degrees and certifications in disciplines such as healthcare administration, nursing, criminology, and social work. The awards aim to ease the financial burden of higher education and recognize the recipients’ dedication to building meaningful futures.

Linda Bradley, Board Member of the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating:
“This program is one of the most meaningful ways we give back to our residents. In line with our We Care culture, we’re not just supporting education—we’re investing in stronger communities.”

One of this year’s recipients, Isabelle Scott, a resident at Minot AFB Homes, shared her gratitude:
“It’s a big relief. Being eight months pregnant and trying to go to school, the scholarship takes a lot of weight off our shoulders and is a big help.”

Since its launch in 2007, the Foundation’s scholarship program has steadily expanded, now marking its 18th year of empowering residents nationwide. To date, the program has awarded over $1.9 million (£1.4 million) in scholarships, helping hundreds of residents pursue college degrees, technical certifications, and other forms of higher education.
