AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a global leader in infrastructure consulting, has been appointed as technical advisor and lead consultant for VicGrid, a new agency established by the Victorian Government to drive the development of critical energy infrastructure in Victoria, Australia. AECOM will lead the effort alongside subconsultant GHD and a team of specialist contractors, including First Nations partners.
As technical advisor, AECOM will provide comprehensive support for VicGrid’s energy infrastructure initiatives, delivering services across the asset lifecycle. These will include engineering, land and planning strategies, and environmental approvals to ensure efficient and sustainable development of Victoria’s electricity grid.

Victoria is in the midst of a major energy transformation to enable its shift to renewable power sources. VicGrid is tasked with coordinating the planning, development, and delivery of the state’s Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and supporting transmission infrastructure. This includes strategic investments to connect new offshore wind projects and other renewable resources to the electricity grid.
