Skanska has entered into an agreement with Gjesdal Municipality to construct the new Gjesdal Health Center in Rogaland County, Norway. The contract is valued at NOK 360 million (approximately SEK 340 million) and will be recorded in Skanska’s Nordic order bookings for Q2 2025.
The project involves the development of an 8,700-square-meter facility that will offer 76 institutional places. In addition to residential units, the center will feature a café, institutional kitchen, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, and support areas. An adjacent 2,000-square-meter parking garage will also be built, with the entire project integrated into an existing residential and activity hub.
The health center is designed with a strong focus on sustainability. It will be certified to BREEAM-NOR “Excellent” standards, reflecting its environmental performance. Skanska will also implement its proprietary LowEx energy concept, which enables efficient heating and cooling with reduced climate impact.
Construction is set to begin in September 2025, with completion expected by June 2027.
