Denise Hauck Appointed President of Corvias’ DoD Division
Corvias, a trusted infrastructure and resiliency partner serving both the U.S. military and higher education institutions, has announced the appointment of Denise Hauck as the new President of its Department of Defense (DOD) division. In her new role, Hauck will oversee the energy, indoor environments, and military housing solutions that Corvias provides to the DOD. These services are designed to enhance the readiness and resiliency of service members and their families by ensuring they have access to safe, efficient, and future-ready communities.
A Strategic Leader for Military Housing and Infrastructure
With her promotion, Hauck assumes responsibility for managing all aspects of Corvias’ military housing initiatives, including property operations, construction, asset management, and development. Under her leadership, Corvias aims to continue transforming military housing into modern, sustainable communities that promote high-quality living standards for service members and their families. Her work will focus on maintaining operational excellence while driving strategic improvements to enhance the resilience and efficiency of military housing infrastructure.
“Denise has been personally invested in our DOD partners’ long-term success with heart and resolve, continuously moving them forward,” said Chris Wilson, CEO of Corvias. “She is a strong leader and the ideal partner for her defense colleagues, always setting the bar high and surpassing expectations.”
Proven Leadership in Property Management
Before her appointment as President, Hauck served as the Senior Vice President for Corvias Property Management. In this capacity, she led numerous strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and improving service delivery across Corvias’ extensive housing portfolio, which includes 22,000 homes. Her leadership resulted in measurable improvements in military housing satisfaction, as evidenced by the company’s strong performance in the 2024 Army Tenant Satisfaction Survey. This annual survey gathers feedback from service members and their families regarding their housing experiences and infrastructure conditions.
Corvias made significant progress in the three key focus areas of the survey: overall satisfaction, property satisfaction, and service satisfaction. Additionally, several of Corvias’ military housing communities received prestigious awards for their outstanding service and commitment to quality. Among these were two family housing communities at Fort Novosel and two more at Aberdeen Proving Ground, which earned A List awards—an industry recognition for providing the highest level of service excellence. Fort Novosel’s exceptional service score also earned it the esteemed Crystal Award.
Advancing Energy Independence and Infrastructure Resilience
Corvias’ infrastructure and sustainability efforts extend beyond housing improvements. The company is committed to delivering resilient and energy-efficient solutions that benefit military installations and their surrounding communities. One of its most significant recent initiatives is the ongoing energy independence and security program at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Riley.

In February 2024, Corvias successfully completed Phase III of this project, which aims to enhance energy resilience while reducing dependence on external power sources. Through advanced energy infrastructure, the program now offsets nearly 40% of the annual electricity consumption within the housing community. This milestone represents a major step toward energy sustainability for military installations and aligns with the Department of Defense’s broader goals of enhancing operational readiness through improved infrastructure resilience.
Setting New Standards in Military Housing Quality
In another groundbreaking achievement, select Corvias-managed homes at Fort Meade and Fort Bragg became the first military housing units to receive the WELL Residence certification from the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI). This certification is a landmark recognition that underscores Corvias’ commitment to advancing indoor health, safety, and quality standards within military housing communities. By meeting WELL Residence certification thresholds, these homes are designed to provide healthier living environments that support the well-being of service members and their families.
The achievement of this certification reflects Corvias’ dedication to adopting innovative, data-driven approaches to military housing development. As part of Hauck’s leadership strategy, Corvias will continue to prioritize initiatives that improve air quality, energy efficiency, and overall living conditions in military communities. The company’s commitment to future-ready housing is aligned with broader industry trends that emphasize sustainability and environmental responsibility.
