Sevan Multi-Site Solutions Named Top Safety Leader by ABC
Sevan Multi-Site Solutions (Sevan) has been honored with a National Safety Excellence Award from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The prestigious award was presented during the 35th annual Excellence in Construction® Awards at ABC Convention 2025 in Las Vegas on February 26.
Sevan was among only 52 contractors nationwide to receive the Excellence in Safety award, a testament to the company’s commitment to workplace safety. “This award highlights the unwavering commitment and relentless efforts of our team and our safety culture. Our primary focus is accountability, looking out for one another, and continuously striving for improvement. The National Safety Excellence Award winners were selected from ABC member firms that had achieved Diamond, Platinum, or Gold status in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System® in 2024. This recognition is based on 2023 safety performance data and evaluates companies through a rigorous selection process. Contractors are judged based on self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable incident rates, leading indicator use, process and program innovations, and interviews conducted by members of ABC’s National Health and Safety Committee.

The National Safety Excellence Awards are categorized into three major North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code groups: NAICS 236 for Construction of Buildings, NAICS 237 for Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and NAICS 238 for Specialty Trade Contractors. These awards recognize organizations that demonstrate exceptional safety practices and leadership in the construction industry.

Through participation in STEP, top-performing ABC members achieve incident rates that are 576% safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics construction industry average. The self-assessment tool helps participants identify opportunities for scalable growth in their safety programs, ultimately reducing total recordable incident rates and improving jobsite safety practices.
