Eiffage Énergie Systèmes Installs Solar Panels at Boullier’s New Workshop in Mayenne

Boullier Chaudronnerie, a long-time partner of our Laval agency on various construction projects, has entrusted Eiffage Énergie Systèmes with the electrical work for its new 1,500 m² workshop in Changé (53). The company also selected our experts to handle the photovoltaic installation on the workshop roof, marking its first independent solar project from start to finish.

Specializing in industrial boilermaking, Boullier moved into its new workshop in the summer. For our team, this milestone marked the completion of an eleven-month project, including all electrical installations and the setup of photovoltaic panels on the roof.

Jérôme Coudray, business manager, explains: “The project involved building a new workshop with a few offices. We were responsible for the full scope of electrical work: high-current systems, IT infrastructure, access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance. We also managed the photovoltaic component, overseeing everything from design to commissioning. Additionally, we assisted with the administrative procedures with ENEDIS, enabling the company to sell surplus electricity.”

In total, 304 photovoltaic modules were installed, generating 128 kWc, or 124,500 kWh annually. The electricity produced primarily covers the site’s self-consumption, meeting 80% of the energy needs, mostly for powering industrial machines. After commissioning the system last July, our team received praise from the inspection office, with no issues raised. The project was completed on time and within budget, and our specialists are already preparing for their next photovoltaic venture.

“We’re currently working on a new project involving the turnkey installation of two photovoltaic canopies. The total power output will be 250 kWp, with 60 kWp on the roof. We’ll handle all aspects, including civil works, structural work, and metal framework for the two 500 m² canopies,” announces Jérôme Coudray. The canopies will be installed in March, with the project scheduled for completion in June 2025.

These projects demonstrate how our teams help customers move toward energy independence while reinforcing Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ commitment to the energy transition.
